The Hedgehog's Post
The art work was inspired by this beautiful little post office on James Street in Dublin 8. I shot the scene shortly after sunrise on a very moody, foggy Dublin morning which led me to create the story of our hedgehog stepping out of the woods to post his letters
- The building was designed by Howard Pentland (1855-1919) who is best known for The Arch erected at the North Entrance on St.Stephen Green.
- The very top of the letter pile is a vintage Irish postcard. The postcard dates back to the early/mid 20th century when the building was living it’s best life, and it was considered the ‘golden age of postcards’
